Special and unique to Cologna della Via are the approximately 100 olive trees found throughout the property. These mature trees produce extraordinary green olives that are harvested and made into oil. Owners can take pride in rich, aromatic olive oil produced from the grounds at their Italy residence, bearing a custom label. Additional extras include a working, antique, outdoor pizza oven.
Cologna della Via is located in the charming, medieval, walled village of Anghiari, Italy. The famous Battle of Anghiari was fought here and is depicted on a lost Leonardo Da Vinci painting. Anghiari is also home to the Busatti-Sassolini textile showroom. This family-owned business produces some of the most exquisite bed and table linens, runners, napkins and kitchen towels the world over.
Cologna della Via is very centrally located, allowing day-trips to nearby Sansepolcro, Arezzo, Florence and Siena. Rome, Bologna and Milan are each approximately three hours away, an easy train-ride for an overnight excursion.
